In a move guaranteed to make you squeal with delight or reach for the sick bag, a documentary celebrating the stage musical Annie is about to go into production.

Co-directed by Academy Awards show producer Gil Cates Jr and Julie Stevens, Life After Tomorrow will reunite over 40 actreesses who have played the flame topped orphan including Stevens, Sarah Jessica Parker and Martha Byrne.

Billed as “a candid look at the pluses and perils of being a child star”, the documentary will specifically focus on Stevens who played Annie in the original cast and subsequently went on to become a longterm advocate of child performer rights.

Expect the documentary sometime in the New Year.
