The writers of Wedding Crashers – that’s Steve Faber and Bob Fisher to you and me – have been hired to write a new high concept comedy for Fox.
The untitled film focuses on a skinny American competing as a sumo wrestler. Jon Heder is in the studio’s sights for the lead.
And the story even has a basis in truth: the idea comes from a US GQ magazine article written by Joshua Davis, who actually competed at the US Sumo Open two years ago.
Faber and Fisher are already writing We’re The Millers, a comedy about a pot dealer trying to get out of the business.
