The Financial Times reported yesterday that the rising value of the pound against the dollar has led to a decrease in the number of Hollywood productions coming to the U.K. Film Commissioner Steve Norris was quoted as saying, "The U.K. still has enormous advantages in competing for big Hollywood movies because of our great studios and world-class crews, but the strong pound isn't making life easy, particularly as our main competitors for the big movies, Canada and Australia, have the benefit of weak currencies.
