Sharon claims Tinseltown 'punishes' women

Is today 'Have a moan day' or something? After Kate Winslet's comments regarding equal pay in Hollywood, now Sharon Stone is getting her grievances off her chest - the star has slammed Hollywood for "punishing" older women by not giving them good parts. The 41-year- old actress claims she regularly loses out to other actresses who lie about their age while she is branded "too old" - but she would not reveal any culprits. Stone says, "When women hit 40 in Hollywood, they get punished. I'm being punished for doing that very bad thing - getting older, hitting 40. I see other actresses getting parts I can't get considered for because I'm too old, and they're not telling their true age - I can't tell you their names because I don't want to wreck their careers." She's obviously forgotten about Annette Bening (aged 41) a hot favourite for this weekend's Golden Globes and the Oscars for her role in American Beauty, but then the only actress Sharon like to have a go at these days is the young and winsome Gwyneth Paltrow...
