We're a little over a month away from the UK release of Steven Spielberg's latest, the adaptation of Roald Dahl's book The BFG. To keep that in our minds, two new posters have emerged online.

The images are essentially the same, but come in daytime and night-time flavours, both showing young Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) sitting in the hand of the title character (played via performance capture by Mark Rylance.) The BFG shows us how the two became friends, as the orphan girl meets the kindly giant one night while he's out on one of his trips from Giant Country to our world, putting good dreams in kids' heads.

But when he takes Sophie home, that's when the trouble begins as the giant's much bigger fellows including Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement), like nothing better than to snack on humans.

With a script by Spielberg's E.T. collaborator Melissa Mathison, who sadly died before the film was finished, The BFG will be in UK cinemas on July 22. Check out the most recent trailer below.
