A comedy pitch. And not a typo...

Steve Carell Is Raised By Wolfs

There are two big announcements about Steve Carell’s career on the Magical Interwebs today. One is that US network NBC has officially confirmed that he’ll leave the American version of The Office after the show’s next season. The second is that he’s picked up another possible comedy film project that will vie to fill the extra free time he now has, with DreamWorks buying script concept **Raised by Wolfs with him attached to star.

According to the Risky Business Blog, there’s no word yet on what the plot might be, but that spelling is not a mistake – this won’t be a tale of a man adapting to life after being a feral child (at least we don’t think so).

All that is confirmed so far is the name of the person behind the pitch, Les Firestein, who has spent the vast majority of his working life as a TV producer (read: writer) and creative consultant (read: writer who comes in to help with TV shows), and who has toiled on the likes of The Drew Carey Show and In Living Color.

Wolfs will join the myriad of other projects (including Missing Links, Mail-Order Groom, Hi-T, Brigadier Gerard and Of All The Things) Carell’s Carousel Procutions company has set up at various studios around Hollywood.
