We got our first glimpse of the characters in the sequel to Snow White And The Huntsman a couple of days ago via some character posters. Now comes the first trailer for Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron’s return in The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
This time around, the clock spins back to before the time of Snow, when Ice Queen Freya (Emily Blunt) suffered a nasty, heart-breaking betrayal and fled the kingdom where she once lived with sister Ravenna (Theron). Hiding away at a wintry palace, she starts building an army of warriors, training them from a young age to be hardened fighters who value lust for combat over love.
But her two top huntsmen – Eric (Hemsworth) and Sara (Jessica Chastain) – can’t help but fall for one another in defiance of Freya’s wishes. And that’s just the beginning of the story, which sees Ravenna restored after her clash with Snow and Eric using the Magic Mirror and all manner of trouble for the residents of the enchanted land.
The Huntsman: Winter's War, directed this time by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, will arrive on April 22 and features the likes of Sam Claflin, Sheridan Smith, Nick Frost, Colin Morgan, Sam Hazeldine and Sophie Cookson in its cast.
