It's not every making-of documentary that receives its own trailer pimping its arrival, but then not every making-of documentary stars Baby Yo... Er, we mean is a making of documentary series that charts how Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and the rest of the team behind The Mandalorian brought the show to life. With the roundtables featuring show directors such as Deborah Chow, Bryce Dallas Howardand some fresh-faced newcomer named Taika Waititi discussing the show's creation, there are serious Dinner For Five vibes here, with Favreau seemingly just getting back to making his excellent conversational series that gathered talented types to chew over techniques and anecdotes. Though from the looks of the tables – another features the cast – there's a disappointing lack of dinner, just glasses of water. Couldn't spring for some roasted Kowakian Monkey-Lizard, Favs?

Elsewhere, there are the usual behind-the-scenes glimpses of shooting, discussions about props and a new look at the impressive video walls that helped turn smaller studio lots and built areas into huge vistas or spaceships.

The series comprises eight episodes, and kicks off on Disney Plus on the ideal date – 4th May. May the... you get it.
