In this, the year of its 50th Anniversary, Star Trek will be commemorated in a number of ways. One of them is through Adam Nimoy's documentary tribute to his late father, Leonard Nimoy, For The Love Of Spock. The teaser trailer for the project, which features interviews with numerous people associated with Nimoy over the years, has been released.

Crowd-funded to the tune of over $600,000, the documentary will makes its premiere at New York's Tribeca Film Festival on April 15th. There, Nimoy will be joined by actor Zachary Quinto, who, of course, assumed the role of Spock in J.J. Abrams' reimagined Star Trek universe and serves as narrator of the documentary.
