If you’ve seen Captain Marvel – and by the looks of those box office reports, it seems like half of the known universe went to see it on its opening weekend – you’ll know about its heartwarming tributes to Stan Lee. No spoilers here (and lots of Captain Marvel spoilers here, if that’s your bag), but the film pays its respects to the comic book god in some lovely ways. According to Kevin Feige, the head honcho of the MCU, there are still a few more Stan Lee cameos to come, shot before the creative genius’ death last year at the age of 95.

Speaking to ET Online, Feige confirmed that Lee will cameo in Avengers: Endgame, and possibly in Spider-Man: Far From Home. “We’ll see,” he said. “We shot a couple of others, so we’re coming up on the last of them, yes.” Captain Marvel marks the first MCU film to arrive since Lee’s death, while Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse included its own touching tribute to the co-creator of the character.

With Endgame marking the end of the story so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there would be a pleasing amount of finality if Lee’s cameo-ing ended there – in the film which is the culmination of his prolific work as seen on the big screen. Still, you could also say the more the merrier when it comes to Stan popping up alongside his most beloved heroes. Cast an eye over every Stan Lee cameo so far here, and find out where he’ll appear next when Avengers: Endgame arrives in UK cinemas on 25 April.
