Springtime in Italy for Hannibal

With Julianne Moore firmly in place to play Clarice Starling, **Hannibal **is due to begin principal photography in Florence in May, according to Variety. Director Ridley Scott visited the city late last year to scope out locations for the Silence of the Lambs sequel, which finds Dr Lecter at large in Florence posing as a museum curator. The movie's pre-production team were also spotted in Richmond,Virginia, last month, looking for suitable spots to film the US segments.
