There was a dodgy copy doing the rounds yesterday, but an official, and much better quality, version of The Spirit trailer is now online at Yahoo. Watch it here.
The film, based on the characters created by Will Eisner, marks the solo directorial debut of much-vaunted comic book creator Frank Miller. It tells the story of a cop who is thought to be dead, but returns from the afterlife to fight crime throughout the city, whilst scoring with many a willing lady.
There have been gripes that the style of the film veers too close to that of Sin City (which Miller created, so give him a break). This trailer still has elements of that look, but shows that it has a visual style of its own. What do you think?
