Mindy Kaling, who stars in – and writes for – the now-great US version of The Office, has sold a pitch script to Fox Searchlight.
The comedy idea is apparently set in the world of college sororities, so think Animal House meets Legally Blonde.
Kaling’s work appears not only on The Office, but also on King Of The Hill and HBO’s supernatural drama Carnivale. She’s also known for having written the Affleck/Damon-spoofing play Matt And Ben just after leaving college.
The script is awaiting a cast and director.
