Though the cameras have been cranking for a while under the watchful eye of Neil Marshall, the cast for the new take on Hellboy is continuing to expand. Sophie Okonedo, Brian Gleeson and Alistair Petrie are all now part of the film.
This new adaptation of Mike Mignola's comics finds Big Red (played this time by David Harbour) and his colleagues at the BRPD investigating a mysterious medieval sorceress known as the Blood Queen (Milla Jovovich) who has a plan to destroy humankind.
Okonedo will be Lady Hatton, a resident seer at the Osiris Club, an ancient English organisation dedicated to uncovering supernatural mysteries, while Petrie will be Lord Adam Glaren, a high-ranking member and Gleeson is playing Merlin.
They join a cast that already includes Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim and Penelope Mitchell. The movie doesn't yet have a confirmed UK release date, but it should be with us next year or in 2019.
