A multi-cultural cast is on the verge of signing on for The Air I Breathe, a crime drama based on an old Chinese proverb that breaks life down into four emotional elements – happiness, pleasure, sorrow and love.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ken Watanabe and Diego Luna all have pen poised to join the film, which will be directed by Jieho Lee from a script he wrote with Bob DeRosa. Gellar is currently filming Richard Kelly’s Southland Tales, and Watanabe will soon be seen in Memoirs of a Geisha.
