Mario Van Peebles and Wesley Snipes, last seen together on screen in 1991’s New Jack City, are teaming up again for Hard Luck.
The oddball thriller will follow three separate storylines of bootleggers, a serial killer, and drug dealers that all end up linked. Snipes is playing a former drug dealer who is trying to give up the criminal life, but discovers a stash of stolen drugs. Joining him in the cast is Cybil Shepherd as Cass, a middle-aged housewife with a sadistic streak.
Van Peebles is directing the film, but it’s not known whether he’ll act in it.
