David Goyer has tracked down the man to take over Wesley Snipes’ leather Blade pants on the small screen.

Kirk “Sticky” Jones was last seen at cinemas in Flight Of The Phoenix, playing a passenger on the ill-fated plane. But he’s better known as hip-hop frontman Sticky Fingaz for Onyx.

Goyer is producing and writing a pilot for the Blade TV show – which will continue the half-human/half-vamp’s battle against the bloodsuckers with Blade comic author Geoff Johns.

They’ve only got the nod for a pilot so far, but should they get a series commissioned, expect to see plenty of Blade-style action. But don’t expect the Nightstalkers. “Instead, it’s planned that our hero will be partnered with kick-ass Buffy-alike female warrior."
