Sissy Spacek is leaping into a Hot Rod. She’s joining the cast of the Paramount comedy alongside Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone.
She’ll play the offbeat advisor to Rod, Samberg’s clumsy daredevil trying to copy his idol Evel Kinevel by jumping Snake River Canyon – on a moped.
Ian McShane is already on board as Rod’s hard-to-please father, while Samberg and Taccone’s comedy partner Akiva Schaffer is directing the film. The cameras will crank this month.
