Simpsons Playdate With Destiny

With The Simpsons brought fully into the Disney family thanks to the Mouse House buying much of Fox, audiences have been watching the show (which should soon be in the correct aspect ratio) on Disney+. And now a short that had been playing in front of Pixar's Onward before both were so rudely cut short in their release thanks to cinemas closing in the Corona-crisis, is following its big screen mate to the streaming service.

The film begins on a day that seemed like just another day at the park for Maggie Simpson. But when Maggie faces playground peril, a heroic young baby whisks her from danger — and steals her heart. After a blissful first playdate, Maggie can’t wait to see her new baby beau again the following day, but things don’t go exactly as planned. Will fate (or Homer) get in her way?

Playdate With Destiny hits Disney+ on 10 April.
