Sigourney Weaver is desperate to meet extraterrestrial as soon as possible - so they can save the world. The sexy actress has worked with many movie aliens, but thinks if the real things land in the next Millennium, it'll be the best thing for us. Explaining her hopes she said, "I hope that we meet creatures from another planet because I think that will bring the planet together with all races and cultures. Anything with one head, two arms, two legs and no tail will be one of us. I think it will be very good for us as a world and I always wanted to have a world passport instead of a national passport. I'm hoping that all of that will happen."

Weaver isn't above flirting with the fictionalised variety - as **Alien **and it's sequels demonstrated - but she's also happy to lampoon herself. She and Tim Allen are among the cast of the forthcoming Galaxy Quest, about the cast of a once-popular Sci-Fi series. The movie is already being marketed in the mould of The Blair Witch, with a brilliant fake fan page, Travis Latke's Galaxy Quest Page, detailing past 'episodes' and offering a profile of geeky Travis, who tells us he's December 'employee of the month.
