Moneyball man Bennett Miller has cast most of the lead roles in his new true-life drama Foxcatcher. But one major piece had still to be slotted in. Sienna Miller will provide that closure, signing on to play the wife of Olympic wrestler Dave Schultz.

The strange, tragic true tale revolves around DuPont Chemicals heir John du Pont (Steve Carell) who suffered from attacks of paranoid schizophrenia. During one such fit, he shot and killed his friend, Schultz (Mark Ruffalo).

Before the tragedy, DuPont had been an enthusiastic supporter of wrestling – the title refers to the grappling facility that du Pont built on his huge estate that Shultz used for practice.

Channing Tatum is attached to play Mark Schultz, David’s younger brother and a fellow wrestler. Miller is Nancy, who apparently witnessed du Pont shooting her husband.

The director, working from a script by Dan Futterman and E Max Frye, is looking to start the cameras whirring later this month in Pittsburgh. Miller (no relation) has Hitchcock TV movie The Girl and dating comedy A Case Of You set for release in the next few months.
