While he might be a little dusty in the MCU right now, Chadwick Boseman isn't letting his being wiped from existence stop him from taking other film jobs. He's starring in and co-producing crime thriller 17 Bridges and now we know that Sienna Miller, JK Simmons and Taylor Kitsch will all also appear.
Boseman's playing a disgraced NYPD detective who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 17 bridges to prevent any entry or exit from the island.
We don't yet know what the new arrivals will be doing in the film, though we can picture Simmons as a cranky captain. Game Of Thrones and Luther veteran director Brian Kirk is handling the film. Adam Mervis wrote the majority of the script drafts, though Matthew Carnahan polished it before shooting began. And to keep the MCU connections going, Infinity War's Joe and Anthony Russo are producing the movie via their AGBO company. It'll be out on 12 July next year in the States, ahead of a 23rd August UK release.
