Despite facing down angry, toothy fish for this summer’s upcoming Piranha 3D, Elisabeth Shue clearly hasn’t been deterred from thrillers, as s_he’s signed on to the psychological chiller **House at the end of the Street_{ =nofollow}, alongside rising star Jennifer Lawrence.

The producers apparently want this to be to Psycho what Disturbia was to Rear Window and we really hope they don’t mean a techno-update with Shia LaBeouf perving on Lawrence.

Doesn’t sound like it, though: Lawrence will in fact play a teenager who moves with her mother (Shue) to a new town where they discover a little fact that the estate agent probably should have mentioned: their house is across the street from a dwelling where a double murder took place. And then Lawrence has to go and get involved the only survivor of the massacre, fellow teen Max Thieriot. Someone’s getting soooo grounded.

Mark Tonderal is directing from a script by David Loucka, though the project has Jonathan Mostow to thank for its original seed – he came up with the idea, and he’ll be producing.

It’ll kick off shooting early next month in Canada.
