Looks like Mark Wahlberg’s gun-toting assassin will be getting a little lurve in The Shooter.
Kate Mara has joined the cast of the previously announced Antoine Fuqua drama set to shoot this summer for Paramount. She’s playing the love interest of Wahlberg’s master sniper, who is prompted to shelve his hermit-like existence when he’s asked to help prevent an assassination.
Mara was last seen in Brokeback Mountain and is currently acting in McG’s American football plane tragedy We Are Marshall, alongside Matthew McConaughey. And she’s also been at work on 24, playing a twisted CTU agent.
