Daily Variety has revealed that an animated version of Austin Powers will be thrusting his way onto the small screen next year. The series will be hitting US networks in the autumn of 1999 and is set to cash in on the expected success of the Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery sequel, to be released next summer. Mike Myers will be executive producer of the series as well as providing the voice of the shagtastic secret agent. More shaggy-dog stories...Myers is also set to play bum-fluffed Shaggy in a live-action version of Scooby-Doo.
