After becoming one of Netflix's big successes following its Christmas Day launch, the team behind Bridgerton is putting together the cast for its second season, which will adapt The Viscount Who Loved Me. And Netflix is recruiting from one of its other shows, as Sex Education's Simone Ashley will play Kate.
The second season will chronicle the pursuit of a suitable marriage for the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey). Newly arrived in London, Kate Sharma is a smart, headstrong young woman who suffers no fools — Anthony Bridgerton very much included.
These new episodes will be filming this year and while Netflix has yet to confirm a date, we can likely expect the new season to drop at Christmas again.
