A brand new trailer is online for 9, the animated fantasy brought to us by producers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov. Like **Terminator **Salvation, but with rag dolls, the story looks at a post-apocalyptic world where a band of toys, given the spark of life by a scared scientist before his death, are left to fight the evil machines overtaking the world in order to save civilization.
Starring Elijah Wood as dolly number 9, the cast also includes the vocal stylings of Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer and John C. Reilly.
The trailer is as explosive as any action movie, but with a touch of the Burton twisted aesthetic and Bekmambetov's signature gloom obviously influencing director Shane Acker's final product.
This is not to be confused with Rob Marshall's **Nine, Ryan Reynolds starrer **The Nines or upcoming Peter Jackson-produced alien movie **District 9. Just so you know.
