Season Of The Witch Moves From March

Hubble bubble, toil and trouble, Season Of The Witch – the medieval action movie we’re calling Nic Cage Vs Grotbags – has moved away from its March 19 release date, with only five weeks to go.

The Dominic Sena-directed movie, in which Cage plays a knight who must transport a suspected witch (Brit actress, Claire Foy) across hellish terrain to her execution, hasn’t yet set a new date. No reason has been given for the move, but a release date shift this late in the game might seem a tad suspicious. Just a tad, mind – we’re sure that Lionsgate will come up with a new date soon.

Anyway, Season Of The Witch’s loss may be Repo Men, The Bounty Hunter, **The Runaways **and Diary Of A Wimpy Kid’s gain, as they’re the four films left standing on that date.

No word yet on how this affects Season Of The Witch’s UK release date, which is also currently March 19 – we’ll keep you posted.
