Following on the heels of the Golden Globes nominations yesterday (see the film list here and the TV entries here), the Screen Actors Guild released its own nominations for screens big and small. And, almost as though correcting some of the glaring omissions from the Globes, the likes of I May Destroy You and Minari received more chances to score awards.
There are some repeats to be found here among the TV nominations, with shows such as Ozark and Better Call Saul (though Rhea Seehorn was shockingly not nominated aside from counting among the ensemble). New arrivals on that front? The Undoing, The Great and Bridgerton.
Film-wise, we could have predicted nominations for Riz Ahmed, Anthony Hopkins, Vanessa Kirby and Frances McDormand, but the sheer amount of potential nominations for the late Chadwick Boseman is both heartwarming and sad that he won't be there to see the appreciation.
Take a look at the full lists below and let us know — anything that thrills you? Any shocking names left off the categories?
