MGM has locked in rights to distribute Charlie Bartlett, which will star Anton Yelchin (Hearts In Atlantis), Hope Davis, Tyler Hilton (Walk The Line) and Robert Downey Jr.

The dark comedy, written by Gustin Nash, features Yelchin as a wealthy, privileged teenager who is sent to a public high school and weaves his way into the students’ social fabric by using his charm to set himself up as the school’s resident “psychiatrist”.

Behind the camera will be Jon Poll, a man who has spent years slaving away editing Jay Roach’s films, including Austin Powers In Goldmember and Meet The Fockers.

"Having spent years in cutting rooms with Jon, I can say without hesitation that he's a pure storyteller and a master of tone," Roach gushed to Variety about his former editor. So, no pressure, then.
