With the title Save The Last Dance, it didn’t seem likely that we’d be seeing the further adventures of Julia Stiles’ happy feet.
But that hasn’t stopped Paramount, which is making Save The Last Dance 2: Stepping Out as a direct-to-DVD release.
The film continues Sara’s storyline, though she’s apparently morphed, Dr Who-style into Coyote Ugly’s Izabella Miko. This time, the spunky student is attending Julliard, where she has to prove to herself and others that she’s cut out for the tough word of professional ballet.
Jacqueline Bissett also stars as Sara’s idol and teacher, a woman who drives her to new levels of determination. But – as usual - the path is littered with obstacles.
