Susan Sarandon and Goldie Hawn are in negotiations to play a pair of former best friends who are re-united years later. In their youth the women were rock'n'roll groupies, hence the film's title - The Banger Sisters. But they drifted apart and, years later, find that their lives are very different. Sarandon is a wealthy socialite who wants to keep her raunchy past a secret, while Hawn is a waitress who still loves music and relishes her youthful exploits. The film is to be directed by Bob Dolman, the scriptwriter of the Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman starrer Far And Away. The only problem facing the project is getting it made before the possible actors' strike in America next year, as Sarandon is a prominent supporter of the action.
