Adam Sandler and Hitch’s Kevin James are in negotiations to star in I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry.
The comedy, which will see the pair playing firemen who pose as a gay married couple as a tax swindle, has been gestating at Universal since the late ‘90s. The likes of Will Smith, Nic Cage and Owe Wilson have been through the casting door and a football team’s worth of writers have had a crack at the script.
Now the film finally seems to be on, with Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin attached to tackle a script that’s been re-written by Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor of Sideways Oscar-scooping fame.
