Brad Peyton

He's currently busy putting the finishing touches to his latest collaboration with Dwayne Johnson, Rampage. But as is the norm with directors, Brad Peyton is also busy scouting potential other jobs, and now he's attached to a script currently called The Expansion Project.

It sounds right now like a dry document outlining a new structure for an office park, but it's a little more enticing than that, which might be why Warner Bros. snapped up the rights to Leo Saradian's spec script. The story will follow a rookie female space marine who becomes stranded on a hostile planet in the midst of humanity's colonoising space. Oh, and her suit is rapidly losing power...

Naturally, that's about it for now on the details – the script will jump into the development hopper until Peyton is ready to work on it, assuming he makes it as his next project and doesn't somehow line up another three movies with The Rock.

Rampage, meanwhile, will look to smash into our screens on 13 April next year.
