Sam Rockwell clearly enjoys working with Jon Favreau, and the feeling is mutual, since the Iron Man 2 director has just cast him in his next project, Cowboys And Aliens.
Rockwell will star alongside Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde and Harrison Ford in the graphic novel-based story of battle-happy extraterrestrials invading the Old West.
Writers Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof worked with Favreau to re-imagine the role that Rockwell has nabbed – Doc, a bartender who helps our heroes battle the alien nasties – boosting his screen time and switching his appearance from a heavy-set boozer.
With his **Iron Man 2 **promotional duties close to wrapping up, Favreau is deep into prep for Cowboys and is set to kick off shooting in June.
