There are always a large number of movies adding to their casts at any one time, but some weeks it can seem like only one or two are making any real progress in the drip feed world of announcements. One currently adding plenty of people to its ensemble is Enola Holmes, which will star Millie Bobby Brown. The newest person joining the team is Sam Claflin.

Like some other recent recruits (Fiona Shaw, for example), we don't yet know what role Claflin is taking. Brown will star as Enola, and the script features a script by Jack Thorne adapting Nancy Springer's book series. Launching in 2006 with The Case Of The Missing Marquess, Springer's tomes tell the tale of Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft's much younger sister, who turns out to be a highly capable detective in her own right.

Harry Bradbeer's directing the film, which will also find Helena Bonham Carter as the Holmes siblings' mother and Adeel Akhtar in an unspecified role. As for Claflin, he's part of the cast for the new Charlie's Angels, headed our way on 29 November.
