In May, we learned that a sequel to action comedy The Hitman's Bodyguard was in the works, with news arriving via a Cannes Market listing. We now also know that stars Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson will be back for more crazy behaviour in The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard.

As the title suggests, we'll also see the return of Salma Hayek for a story that sees protection expert Michael Bryce hired by Darius Kincaid (Jackson) and his wife Sonia (Hayek) to join them on a mission along the Amalfi Coast. Patrick Hughes is back to direct again, working from a script by Brandon and Phillip Murphy.

The cameras will be rolling in March on what looks to be a chance for the stars to squeeze some lovely holiday time into their shooting schedule – "where's it shooting?" "Russia?" "Nope! How about the Italian coast in spring and summer?" "We could do that." "Sold!" There's no word yet on when it might hit cinemas, but it'll be either later in 2019 or early 2020.
