As he continues to build the cast for his latest Agatha Christie adaptation, Death On The Nile, Kenneth Branagh has added someone more surprising. Russell Brand is in talks to join the cast,

Following up his 2017 adaptation of Murder On The Orient Express, the new film – written once again by Michael Green – finds master detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh back with the 'tache) taking what he thinks will be a relaxing cruise in Egypt. Silly rabbit! Naturally, murder rears its head, forcing our hero to find am heiress's killer before the ship docks and the passengers leave. You'd think he'd learn to just go camping in the Peak District by now.

Branagh has Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Letitia Wright, Annette Bening and a returning Tom Bateman (as Bouc) already on board, and he's looking for the movie to dock with cinemas in October next year.

Brand has a role in fantasy film Four Kids And It, which has yet to announce a release date.
