Chris Hemsworth’s chiselled mug is everywhere at the moment, what with the Thor: The Dark World trailer arriving and now a new poster for Ron Howard’s Rush hot on its heels like a speeding Formula 1 racing car. Take a look at the image, arriving courtesy of EW, below.

Entertainment Weekly also talked with Howard about the film, which charts the passionate, dangerous rivalry between drivers James Hunt (Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl) in 1976. The direct admits he was scared making the movie at certain points, but definitely enjoyed it.

“Folks from the era are fond of saying of the 1970s F1 racing that it was a time when sex was safe and driving was dangerous. That’s the way they lived,” explains Howard. “These folks aren’t forthcoming with a lot of details but there are a lot of winks and nods. I really did sort of fall in love with the sport. I love teams but yet the drivers are really unique talents and fascinating personalities, which is why I was involved in the story. Peter Morgan wrote these characters brilliantly and there’s great acting opportunities blended with this cool, visceral action.” For more from Howard, head to EW’s site.

Rush screeches on to our screens on September 13. Check out the rather wonderful trailer...
