If there's one thing the world could probably do without it's another pop star trying to make it in the movies. Don't get us wrong, it's worked for some, but that doesn't stop news that Ronan Keating is going to make his screen debut from bringing a feeling of dread and impending doom. The Irish crooner will, according to The Daily Record, star alongside Vinnie Jones as a gangster in the curiously titled Guns, Money and Home Cooking, which will begin shooting in January. "It's tongue-in-cheek," the ex Boyzone star told the newspaper. "Vinnie is in it. Anna Friel is in it. I play a young Irish inexperienced gangster. They came looking for me. I didn't go to a casting or anything. I'm shit scared because I've never acted before." And well he should be, dare we mention All Saints' foray into the world of Brit Gangster movies? No one who saw Honest has ever fully recovered form the experience. "The first couple of days will be hard work and nerve-wracking, but I am willing to give it a go. I've read the script and can't say too much about it. I'm a gangster who is out of college and I'm kind of a rival to Vinnie's character. Future film roles will depend on the outcome of this one. I don't know if I can act but I am willing to give it a go." Well, you can't say fairer than that.
