Ron Howard has found another script to add to the pile he’s considering directing.
But this one has an interesting pedigree for fans of sci fi – it comes from the keyboard of no less a writer than J. Michael Straczynski.
The Changeling – which claims to be based on actual events – follows a mother whose child is kidnapped and prays for his return. Yet when he is brought home safely, she begins to worry that he’s not actually her child.
For those who don’t know the name Straczynski, he’s the man behind epic SF TV show Babylon 5 and more recently has been working on several Spider-Man comics under an exclusive deal with Marvel.
Whether Howard makes The Changeling as his next film is up in the air – it’s currently competing with war drama Last Man Home, clothes industry pic The Look Of Real, the Bruce Almighty-alike The Power Of Duff and Aztec destruction epic The Serpent And The Eagle.
