Rob Corddry Sells The Donor

The name Rob Corddry might not mean much to you if you haven’t watched The Daily Show. But you might have caught his funny cameo in Failure To Launch as the lovelorn hunting salesman. He’s also got Paul Feig’s comedy Unaccompanied Minors and skating laugh-fest Blades Of Glory on the way.

And now, like fellow Daily Show alumnus Steve Carell, Corddry is kick-starting his film career by selling a comedy pitch to Paramount called The Donor.

There are no plot details available yet (it’s another comedy with its information wrapped tighter than the Official Secrets Act), but given the title, we’re guessing it has something to do with organ transplants, possibly with comedy complications.

And it has a healthy pedigree – it was co-created by Corddy’s Daily Show colleagues, in the form of presenter Jon Stewart and head writer/producer Ben Karlin.
