Here's the first image from Andrew Dominik's first venture into the ol' West. And… it's Brad Pitt standing in a field. "So what?" you say. Well, it's Brad Pitt standing in a field in period costume (and dark hair – the first time since Kalifornia that he's tinted the locks to this extent, trivia fans), looking rather pensive.

For those not aware yet – although the title's a bit of a giveaway – it's about a man named Ford (Casey Affleck) who joins the James Brothers Gang, but who soon gets the hump with our Jesse, and puts an end to his 16-year career as an outlaw in the later years of the 19th century. Expect horses, prairie dusters, gunfire, and a bloody good film; Dominik's last film was Chopper, and we have no reason to believe this will fall anywhere short of that debut's impressive mark.
