As if we weren’t already excitedly anticipating the next film from The Assassination of Jesse James director Andrew Dominik, Cogan’s Trade, he’s just added another excellent name to the cast list, with Richard Jenkins now aboard.

Jenkins, who was Oscar nominated for The Visitor and last seen in Let Me In, will appear alongside Brad Pitt, Sam Rockwell, James Gandolfini and Bella Heathcote.

Adapted from George Higgins' darkly comic crime novel by Dominik, Trade will see Pitt as a mob enforcer who has to investigate a robbery that takes place during a big poker game held by his bosses. Suffice to say, things turn violent. Jenkins is playing a lawyer who provides some inside info about the game.

There had been talk that Pitt's Assassin co-star Casey Affleck might also be signing on, but we’ve seen no confirmation of that.

With producing support from Pitt’s Plan B company, Dominik will start shooting later this month in New Orleans.
