Paul WS Anderson and his Resident Evil team have lived up to their promise / threat* and delivered another money-spinning Milla-fights-zomboids effort in Retribution. The movie debuted in the top spot at the US box office, albeit lower than most of the other sequels. It took in $21.1 million, which put it ahead of the **Finding Nemo **3D re-release, which made $17.5 million in second.

Horror pic The Possession was pushed down to third, earning $5.8 million, while Lawless slipped to fourth and $4.2 million. ParaNorman stayed strong in fifth, taking home $3.1 million.

**The Expendables 2 **took a tumble (lets hope the cast were wearing one of those “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” Medic Alert bracelets) to sixth with $3 million, while The Words was down to seventh and $2.88 million. At eighth we find The Bourne Legacy nabbing $2.87 million, while **The Odd Life Of Timothy Green **was down to ninth with $2.5 million and **The Campaign **slipped to 10th, making $2.4 million.
