With so many big films landing in 2015, it's becoming all too easy to forget little ol' 2014. Dumb And Dumber To, the sequel to** Dumb And Dumber,** is here to change that, announcing a November 14, 2014 US release date and a December 19 UK date with a view to "counterprogram family and awards fare" according to Variety.

Industry analysts see this as Universal (who are in charge of the project) following in the footsteps of Paramount and Anchorman: The Legend Continues, who are bravely releasing the big cameo-filled comedy on December 20 this year when we're meant to be watching worthier work.

As for the plot of the film, nothing official has been announced, but rumours suggest that one of the boys needs a kidney transplant and tracks down a child he somehow managed to spawn to see if he can find a compatible donor.

Writing duties this time are being handled by **Horrible Bosses **contributors John Morris and Sean Anders, with Peter and Bobby Farrelly back behind the camera. As well as Carrey and Daniels, the cast will be rounded out by Rachel Melvin, Rob Riggle, Laurie Holden, Steve Tom, Cam Neely and Lindsay Ayliffe (as well as a cameo from, well... you can find out here.)

As mentioned previously, Dumb And Dumber To is out on December 19, 2014 in the UK, marking 20 years since the original hauled in nearly $250 million at the box office.
