“I say, I say, I say, readers, I notice that one of the stars of Lost, Rebecca Mader, has signed on to join Men Who Stare At Goats, the latest film from George Clooney.”

“Mader?”

“No, she joined the cast of her own accord.”

Boom boom! Eh, readers? Eh? Where else on the internet do you get quality gags like that to kick off your day? OK. Don’t answer that.

Anyway, moving on… Rebecca Mader – best known as Charlotte Lewis from Lost – is in talks to join the previously schlong-heavy cast of the intriguingly-titled Gulf War satire, based on a book by Jon Ronson.

The flame-haired Mader will play the wife of Ewan McGregor’s desperate journalist, Bob Wilton, who stumbles upon a huge story when he meets Clooney’s Lyn Cassady, who claims that he’s part of a special squadron of crack psychic soldiers, reactivated after 9/11.

The cast also includes Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges, while Stephen Lang also signed on today.

Grant Heslov, Clooney’s producing partner, will also direct the movie.
