Having broken out big time with her role as the ass-kicking and Ethan Hunt-confounding Ilsa Frost in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Rebecca Ferguson has landed firmly on the In Demand list. Though was apparently in the running for the female lead in Gambit for Fox, she’s opted instead to join Emily Blunt in the adaptation of Paul Hawkins’ thriller novel **The Girl On The Train.

Hawkins’ book follows a recently divorced woman called Rachel (Blunt) struggling with her life and sinking into alcoholism to try to cope. She sees a seemingly perfect couple from her London train ride every day and starts to fantasise about their lives. But things take a turn when she sees something shocking happen in the house and also returns home covered in blood after a blackout drunk spree...

Ferguson is in negotiations to play Anna. Erin Cressida Wilson adapted the script, and The Help’s Tate Taylor is in the director’s chair.

Most recently, Ferguson worked on **Florence Foster Jenkins **alongside Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant. The Stephen Frears film is making its way through post-production and, while it doesn’t have a set date yet, it should be on our screens next year.
