Before it has even been finished, The Weinstein Company has bought Edie Sedgwick biopic Factory Girl for distribution.

Starring Sienna Miller, the film unspools the tragic tale of Sedgwick, who became part of artist Andy Warhol’s circle in the 1960’s , only to die of a drug overdose in the early ‘70s.

Guy Pearce plays Warhol, and Mena Suvari and Hayden Christensen also star in director George Hickenlooper’s film. The Weinsteins will handle the film in the US, the UK and several other territories.
