Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures must be running short of Japanese films to remake. They’ve started acquiring video games.

Siren is a bestseller in Japan, and the US film version will adapt the plot, focusing on an American med school student searching for her missing sister in Japan. She begins her investigation in the remote mountain village of Hanuda, only to find herself trapped with an unspeakable evil.

Michael Gordon will write the screenplay.
